Workshop suggestions sought
From The Beacon, June 2005, Vol. XXXI, No. 6
The MMA is seeking suggestions from members for workshop topics for the 2006 Annual Meeting & Trade Show.
The two-day MMA Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for local officials to share ideas, hear dynamic speakers, take part in lively workshops, and learn more about the latest products and services available for municipalities.
The 2005 Annual Meeting featured 30 educational opportunities nuts and bolts workshops as well as programs on timely topics such as smart growth, health care costs, overrides and exclusions, gang violence, and construction reform.
The 2006 event, to be held Jan. 13-14 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, will feature speakers and workshops to help local leaders face the challenges of maintaining fiscal stability, nurturing a healthy local economy, and meeting ever growing and changing service demands.
To suggest workshop topics, contact Conference and Meeting Coordinator Maureen Herrmann at the MMA.
