MIIA LOSS CONTROL TRAINING PARTNERS
The following organizations work with MIIA Loss Control to provide training and other assistance to our members in order to reduce losses.

Health Resources administers MIIA’s Employee Assistance Program and also provides loss control training on topics such as Back Injury Prevention, Back Coaching, Slip/Trip/Fall Prevention as well as our entire Management Series seminars.
-Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards (DOS) - www.mass.gov/dols
The MA DOLS is responsible for overseeing the safety and health of public entities in MA. They provide training such as Trench Safety, Confined Space, Right to Know, Personal Protective Equipment, Indoor Air Quality and Respiratory Protection for MIIA.
-Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) - www.mass.gov/mcad
MCAD is the state’s chief civil rights agency. They work to eliminate discrimination by enforcement, training and outreach programs. MCAD provides training for MIIA such as a Discrimination Prevention Train the Trainer program and Internal Complaints Investigations programs.
-Quality Behavioral Institute (QBS Inc.)- www.qbscompanies.com
QBS Inc. provides training and consultation support to organizations that work with individuals with behavioral challenges. MIIA Loss Control has partnered with QBS on their Safety Care program which is a program designed to prevent struck-by related claims by improving de-escalation skills and communication. These types of claims are typical in our school settings.

Garland provides comprehensive roofing and flooring services. For MIIA they assist with providing roof inspections to our members as well as training on how to conduct roof inspections.

The TNEC provides a wide variety of worker health and safety training across New England. For MIIA they have provided assistance with programs such as Work Zone Safety.

Doron Precision is the manufacturer of our law enforcement and fire driving simulator. This tool has been extremely helpful in delivering drivers training to our members. This link provides a description of the training equipment and simulator modules.
-Citizens Planner Training Collaborative (CPTC) - www.umass.edu/masscptc
The Citizen Planner Training Collaborative provides local planning and zoning officials with tools to make effective decisions regarding their community's current and future land use. For MIIA they provide many seminars and workshops on planning and zoning throughout the state.
-Massachusetts Recreation and Parks Association (MRPA) - www.massrpa.org
The MRPA is a non-profit membership organization committed to education and training in the profession of parks and recreation. For MIIA they have assisted with providing Certified Playground Safety Inspectors courses.

This is the Central MA Chapter of the National Safety Council. They provide occupational safety and drivers training.
