Well Aware Special Initiatives- Free programs that are offered to select accounts.
“Heart Matters”- A state of the art multidisciplinary heart health program. Staff includes a medical director, registered dietitians and exercise and stress reduction specialists. Program includes pre and post program measurements of blood pressure, weight, BMI with a series of educational sessions on risk reduction, diet, cooking, exercise and stress.
“Relax, Renew & Rebalance!” (“RRR”)- A special multi-series program designed to help participants better cope with life stress at home or at the workplace. “RRR” is designed to be holistic with focus on personal skill development in key areas such as breathing, mindfulness, cognitive reframing, relaxation, physical activity and mindful eating.
"New Directions in Weight Loss"- Special 10-week weight loss program combines sound, nutritional practices with hypnotherapy for lasting weight loss.
"Detecting and Managing Diabetes"- A RD teaches this 5-week series on diabetes prevention, detection and management. Designed for those who have (or know someone with) a family history of diabetes, elevated blood sugar levels, heart disease or are overweight.
Other- MIIA explores and offers innovative pilot programs that encourage personal health improvement and the development of a healthy work culture.
On Line Programs
"Biggest Winner" - A fun, interactive and challenging 10-week program. Challenges include weight loss, exercise, healthy diet, stress reduction and other activities. Virtually walk across Massachusetts, exercise with a yoga video, learn cooking recipes, and more.
"Eat Med" - A 10-week program including a series of weekly challenges, videos, and other resources. Experience the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle first hand in a fun, informative, experimental way.
