The activities and resources listed here are grouped roughly by topic (Fitness, Heart Health, Weight Management, etc.) and color-coded by the type of activity (Health Screening, Presentation, etc.). Although listed separately, most often multiple activities are combined to become part of a Member Group’s total integrated wellness program.

Other Activities |
|
Screenings: biometric tests or measures such as cholesterol or blood pressure. Health fairs: can include screenings, computer assessments, informational tables, demonstrations and chair or hand massage.

Interest and Needs Assessment
MIIA wellness professionals use results of interest surveys and health claims data to help plan targeted programs for member groups.
Health Risk Appraisals and Follow-Up
On-line and paper/pencil confidential health risk surveys are designed to increase health awareness, identify those at risk and target follow-up risk reduction programs. Telephonic coaching for lifestyle management helps those at high risk set and reach health improvement goals. Aggregate reports are valuable program planning tools. All HRA personal information is confidential. Take MIIA’s Personal Health Assessment on-line and receive a wealth of personalized feedback about your health status, resources and recommendations for change.
Resources Though not listed in detail here, we can provide a selection of educational brochures, flyers, promotional materials for events and referrals to outside professionals or organizations.

Generally a group meets at the worksite for more than one session to learn and practice health/fitness skills (i.e. strength training, yoga, tai chi, weight management).
