Learn how to relieve the unique work and life stress load of law enforcement.

Enhanced Resiliency Training for Law Enforcement

Law enforcement is one of our country's most stressful occupations. Our enhanced resiliency workshop, inspired by Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement by Kevin Gilmartin, Ph.D., provides approaches and tools to help you pro-actively:

  • Reduce stress, anger, fatigue and anxiety
  • Improve work/life balance
  • Become more flexible and responsive to troublesome issues
  • Increase productivity, positive outlook and family connections

The 2-hour workshop is led by a former police officer who is also a certified EAP counselor and LICSW. Some of the topic covered include:

  • How the Officer is Perceived by Family and Friends
  • Individual Coping Mechanisms and Tools for Enhanced Resiliency
  • Management Responsiveness: Supporting Your Officers’ Emotional Wellbeing
  • How Personal and Professional Relationships are Affected
  • The Unique and Taxing Nature of the Police Officer’s Work
  • The Effect of Work/Life Stresses on the Officer

Wellness Tip: Police have a higher risk of cardiovascular problems and diabetes than the general population. Lower your risk with a 20-minute walk 3x a week. Will also reduce stress.
