Job-related injuries are costly to employers both in terms of workers’ compensation and lost productivity. In response, some communities are implementing “return-to-work” programs to help them manage and reduce these costs.

Choosing MIIA/Blue Cross will save town $1M
The town of Saugus recently announced that it will be switching to health insurance coverage through the MIIA Health Benefits Trust as of July 1, 2014 – a move that Town Manager Scott Crabtree says will save the town $1 million in health care premium costs.
These two MIIA towns both separated from the Town of Charlemont, and both were incorporated within days of each other in 1785
