A Subscriber Claim Summary is sent to explain how Blue Cross Blue Shield processed a claim. It is not a bill, and you are not required to make a payment based on this document. You will receive a bill from your health care provider when a balance is due. For further information, go to bluecrossma.org and sign in to MyBlue or go to your MyBlue app on your smartphone. If you have further questions, you can contact Member Services at the number located on your ID card.

Many times, when you receive a bill from your doctor, it is for your co-payment, co-insurance, or deductible. These are common features of health plans. For example, some health plans require the member to pay a share of the cost for an office visit, and the rest may be covered. If you have additional questions, Blue Cross Blue Shield Member Service can also help you. Please be sure to have your ID number, health care provider’s name, and the date of service handy when you call.
